The FiBoK [Finance Body of Knowledge] consists of fifteen critical knowledge areas which confirm mastery in of the skills required of Finance Professionals in the practical business world. The FiBoK guides potential contestants in their preparation towards the quiz. Areas covered include: Professional Ethics, Time Value of Money Concepts, Investment Decisions, Risk Analysis & Portfolio Management, Working Capital Management, Derivatives and Risk Management, International Finance, Financial Analysis, Financial Markets, Corporate Restructuring, Cost of Capital, The environment of Finance, Corporate Governance, and Principles of taxation. Detailed description of each knowledge area in the FiBoK is contained in the Quiz Content Specification (QCS) document accessible from the Download tab along with reference materials for some specific knowledge areas within the FiBoK. The objective of the FiBoK and QCS is to set the boundary of study whilst helping achieve the following:
- Establish the foundation from which questions for quiz session will be developed.
- Provide a basis for consistent coverage on each quiz session.
- Communicate to interested parties more details as to the content of each quiz session
- Assist contestants in their preparation for each quiz session.
