As a member, you have the opportunity to share information and serve as public advocates, which affect medical policies and procedures.

As African American physicians, we tend to treat sicker and more economically disadvantaged patients. With the resurgence of old disease, resistance of new disease, changes in crucial health programs, and the seemingly never ending health care costs, the Houston Medical Forum is hard at work to overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges to healthcare.

We support the scholarly exchange of scientific and clinical information to identify and facilitate new challenges in medicine.

Start the ball rolling by attending one of our monthly meetings which are located on this website under "Events". If you need additional information, please feel free to contact one of our officers for specifics relating to how you can become more involved in our organization based upon your interests and areas of expertise.

We challenge you to attend meetings regularly and become a member.

Applicants must be in good standing with the Texas Medical Board, formerly known as TSBME.

Becoming a member of the Houston Medical Forum and attending monthly meetings afford you the opportunity to network with many of the prominent physicians in virtually every chosen specialty. Come and find out what's going on in the city, county and state and what your peers are doing in respect to their individual practice and patient care.

The Houston Medical Forum is actively recruiting physicians who practice in the Houston and surrounding areas. Residents are eligible for membership and students are encouraged to attend with a physician member.
